We specialize in commercial vehicles at our Manassas dealership, and we can help you find the best work truck for your business. While we know that the F-350 is a perfect model for both small businesses and large corporations alike, we also know that there may be others competing for your attention. Here, we've put together a comparison page, to help you make the right decision.

Ford F-350 SuperDuty vs. Ram 3500

  • Power & performance. Let's face it, if you're looking for a heavy-duty pickup for work or play, you're going to want one that's capable and powerful, which means overall performance is going to be an important deciding factor for you. Between these two workhorse machines, the Ford F-350 ekes out more power from its available engines than the Ram 3500. For example, while the Ford diesel V8 option delivers a maximum 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque, the Ram diesel has 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, Ford has an additional gas-powered V8 option available in its lineup, while the Ram does not. When it comes to towing your heaviest trailers or campers, however, both models top out right around 37,000 pounds for their top towing capacity.
  • Front seat space & comfort. While both heavy-duty trucks give drivers a menu of cab styles to choose from for personalizing their drive, the F-350 has more interior space and higher levels of comfort than the Ram 3500. For example, the Ford model has more shoulder room and more legroom in the front seat than the Ram, regardless of whether you choose a model that has a backseat or not.
  • Backseat design. Of course, if you do choose to opt for a crew cab model with a full-sized backseat instead, your rear seat passengers will also enjoy a more spacious ride in the Ford than the Ram. The F-350 has more headroom, legroom, and shoulder room in the backseat of its crew cab model compared to the same style on the Ram 3500.
  • Standard technology. Ford knows that drivers want a truck that's outfitted with the latest features, and the F-350 has them. Every model, starting at the base trim, gets standard Wi-Fi hotspot capability, remote engine start, and individual tire pressure monitoring. These are not standard for the Ram and are only available on upper trims, if they're available at all.
  • Optional features. Not only does the Ford F-350 have the above tech amenities standard where the Ram 3500 does not, but it also makes more of our favorite, sought-after features available sooner in its lineup than the Ram. Starting at just the second trim level for the Ford truck, you can look forward to impressive tech in the form of standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a slew of advanced safety features and a standard touchscreen infotainment system. But none of these features are available on the second Ram trim and, in fact, aren't available until higher up in the lineup.
