This includes being able to tow conventionally on the likes of the F-250 and F-350, while you will find the F-450 is equipped for gooseneck towing. This means being able to reach a maximum capacity of 37,000 pounds of towing using this method, which is when a ball hitch is placed in the box of a truck to increase the capacity of driving with larger cargo. Additionally, the Ford F-350 is capable of towing 7,850 pounds.
For comparison, the Silverado HD lineup can come close, but its maximum gooseneck towing capacity is 36,000 pounds, while the Silverado 3500 HD, which is the direct comparison for the F-350 offers slightly less in towing at just 7,442 pounds.
